Meet at St Mary’s Church, The Walk. Walk ends at Potters Bar Baptist Church with a short ALL AGE service and refreshments.
3.00 pm Solemn Liturgy of the Lord’s Passion
(Traditional retiring collection for the Holy Places)
There is a parallel liturgy for primary-school-age children in the hall. Parents should bring their children to the hall by 2.50pm at the latest.
7.30 pm Stainer’s Crucifixion for Good Friday
At Potters Bar URC, Darkes Lane. Sung by an ecumenical group from Churches Together in Potters Bar.

11am Blessing of Easter Food
This short service is a tradition of Poland and other countries. There are various traditions but you are invited to bring a small basket of Easter Food lined with a white cloth.
The foods in the baskets have a symbolic meaning:
An egg - symbolise life and Christ’s resurrection Bread - symbolises Jesus, the Bread of Life
Salt - represents purification
Sausage - symbolic of great joy and abundance. (all are very welcome)

Passion (Palm) Sunday - 14th April

Today we recall Christ’s triumphal entry into Jerusalem and Mark’s Passion is proclaimed.
Palms will be blessed at every Mass but please bring greenery to be blessed as well. Children are asked to bring greenery for the procession at every Mass.
