DIOECE OF WESTMINSTER JUSTICE & PEACE COMMISSION
The Westminster Justice and Peace Commission’s overall aim is for Justice and Peace activity to be part of the core of the Church’s work throughout the Westminster diocese, and to be perceived to be so by Catholic and non-Catholic alike. The Commission identifies and raises awareness of injustice and its root causes, including recognition of structural injustice.

THE HERTFORDSHIRE JUSTICE & PEACE NETWORK
The Hertfordshire Justice and Peace Network is part of the Diocese’s Justice & Peace Commission, which supports the laity, religious, priests and bishops of the diocese in developing awareness of, and ensuring engagement with and commitment to, Justice and Peace as an integral part of the life of the Church, and its living out of Gospel Kingdom values.

The Hertfordshire Commission organises an annual conference of J&P Network Groups and is a source of information on current Justice and Peace issues.

CAFOD
CAFOD is the official overseas development and relief agency of the Catholic Church in England and Wales.

CAFOD works with partners across the world, wherever the need is greatest, to bring hope, compassion, and solidarity to poor communities, standing side by side with them to end poverty and injustice. They work with people of all faiths and none.

CAFOD works with more than 500 partners overseas, and in the UK – all working to reduce poverty. Inspired by Scripture and Catholic Social Teaching, and the experiences and hopes of people living in poverty, CAFOD works for a safe, sustainable and peaceful world.

In our parish, we raise funds through the twice-yearly FAMILY FAST DAYS and support the WORLD GIFTS programme. CAFOD, through the Trade Justice Movement and the Live Simply network, also raises awareness of the impact of our lifestyle on global poverty.

CHURCHES TOGETHER IN POTTERS BAR

There are many different Christian churches and denominations in Potters Bar, but all have the same basic calling – to worship God, to share the good news about Jesus Christ and to work for the good of all people.

But being Churches Together means more than that. It means commitment by each church and denomination to deepen its fellowship with the others and, without losing what makes each interestingly different, to work with them towards a greater visible unity.

All the churches in Potters Bar meet regularly and the church ministers also meet monthly.

For more information contact the parish office or visit: http://www.ctpb.org.uk/
